CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 2017 - THANK YOU

The Christmas Tree Festival, on 9/10 December 2017, was a great success, enjoyed by over 200 visitors. A record number of trees were displayed, all different and all fabulous - see photos. Hilden Brass treated us to a delightful spell of seasonal music adding greatly to the atmosphere. The church looked wonderful and the joyful carol service to conclude the festival was very well attended. A huge thank you must go to the exhibitors and those who organised and helped over the weekend. Over £600 was raised and £300 was donated to Age UK, Sevenoaks & Tonbridge. (A letter of thanks has been received from Gillian Shepherd-Coates.)

Visitors had the opportunity to vote for their favourite tree, these were the top ten;

1. George's Arctic Meeting
2. Christmas Cymbals
3. Woody's Nutcracker Tree
4. Jake, Chloe and Bibi's Lego Tree
5. Springboard Pre-School
6. Cleaners and Fabric Committee
7. Woody's Lego Tree
8. Sound of Silence
9. The Sharp Family Tree
10. The Bible Study Tree

The quiz proved popular and good fun. The trickiest questions were; - the national flower of Estonia is the Cornflower and the China cymbal has upturned edges. There were 4 winners, each with 24 correct answers. They have been advised by email. Thank you to all who took part.  Christmas Tree Festival Committee
