MESSAGE FROM 'CHURCHES TOGETHER IN SEVENOAKS DISTRICT' (CTSD)

Due to the advice from the Government and most denominations, you will probably not be surprised to learn that all Lent Lunches and services, along with Good Friday services with Walk of Witness are now cancelled. We would also advise the Lent House Groups to stop meeting in person, urging you to instead consider how you might use technology like FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp, or the telephone.

Please join me in praying for the most vulnerable in our community. May God mobilise neighbours to look after one another. May we the Church demonstrate that in our sharing. Anytime, any food is broken and shared, may that remind us of Communion - that precious sharing of Christ with the world.

Please join me in praying for the Government - for wisdom and timing in the difficult decisions that they must make. May God be with them and lead them, so that they may lead us safely through this pandemic. May they be attentive to God's leading.

Please join me in praying for the NHS - for all the medical workers, office staff, cleaning crew, and all the managers that work behind the scenes. May God protect them and their families as they work to protect everyone.

Please join me in praying for our Church families across Sevenoaks and District. May we discover 'new ways' and rediscover 'old ways' to keep in touch. May community be found in a phone call and worship of Christ be found in our hearts. May we spend this time of social distancing by finding new ways to reach out and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

As always, you are in my prayers.

Blessings

Angela
